April President's Message
Dear Members and Friends of CASIA,April has been an energizing and productive month for CASIA, and it’s a great reminder of what’s possible when our members come together with a shared purpose.
Our recent April Membership Meeting was a perfect example of that. We were honored to welcome the President, Dennis Bernier and Vice President, Spencer Bauch of the New England Association of Fire Marshals, and the conversation that followed was nothing short of impactful. These are the kinds of relationships that truly matter. Building stronger connections with the AHJ community is critical to the success of our industry, and this meeting reinforced just how valuable open dialogue and collaboration can be.
What stood out most was the willingness on both sides to engage while sharing perspectives, discussing challenges, and working toward better alignment. These conversations don’t just benefit those in the room, they elevate the entire industry. This is exactly the direction CASIA is committed to, and we will continue to strengthen these relationships moving forward.
Shifting gears a bit, we are heading into one of the most exciting stretches of the year for CASIA as we embark on our highly anticipated Summer Events!
First up is our Annual Lobster Bake in June, a truly unique event on our calendar. It’s a great opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, connect with peers, and enjoy an evening on the beach with delicious lobster and new this year we will have entertainment from our very own Bob McVeigh's band - Bob's Fault Rock Band!
June is also a big month with NEACC, where we continue to support regional collaboration and networking across New England. These partnerships matter, and we encourage you to attend this year! Our partnership with NEACC provides a financial benefit to CASIA as well so please help us by attending and enjoying a great day with industry peers!
Then in July, we’ll host our 36th Annual CASIA Golf Classic, another standout event that brings together members, partners, and friends of the association for a day of networking and connection at beautiful Lyman Orchards. If you’ve attended before, you know how valuable and fun these events are! If you haven't attended, now is the time to dive in with us!
I also want to remind everyone that we are approaching the final opportunity to complete your CEU requirements before the end of June. If you still need hours, now is the time to register for the remaining classes. Don’t wait until the last minute as seats are limited in the May 8th and May 26th classes at ASSA Abloy in New Haven and our last Virtual Zoom Class on Saturday May 9th!
There’s a lot happening, and it’s all centered around one goal: delivering value to our members!
Whether it’s through meaningful conversations with AHJs, high-quality education, or events that bring us together, CASIA continues to grow stronger because of your engagement and participation.
I encourage you to get involved, attend these upcoming events, and take full advantage of everything CASIA has to offer. I look forward to seeing many of you in the months ahead!
Sincerely,
Jim Carey
CASIA President
